What in the World is SHN@SAW ?????????????

See article in the Hanover Evening Sun for more.

Why, it’s a very special Stop Hunger Now at SAW night, of course. Representatives from Stop Hunger Now will be joining us for SAW on Wednesday, October 5. (Use the Registration Form at the bottom of the page to Register.)  Come learn more about this extraordinary organization and see why St. Matthew is teaming up with them for our Third Biannual Meal Packing Event on Saturday, November 5.

SHNMealsAnd, of course, you won’t want to miss the highly nutritious meal of Rice, Soy Flour, and Dried Vegetables (Carrot, Onion, Tomato, Celery, Cabbage, and Bell Peppers) fortified with Vitamins and Minerals. YUM! That’s right, we’ve packed ‘em before and we'll pack 'em again; now we get to enjoy them. Join us at 5:45 pm for the meal, then the Stop Hunger Now presentation followed by worship together.

If you have already participated in one of our previous Meal Packing Events, you know the joy and enthusiasm that fills the room. By meeting this year’s goal of preparing 34,500 meals we will exceed a three-year total of 100,000 meals packed! Quite an achievement.

SHNBoxSo, come learn more at SAW on October 5 and see why you need to be a part of our November 5 Community Meal Packing Event in Fellowship Hall. Invite your friends, family and neighbors so they can share in the excitement. Be sure to sign everyone up for SAW so we can prepare enough food. Encourage the community to visit our web page at events.stophungernow.org/StMatthewLuth to register for the packing event or to donate. Then keep an eye out for further information about both events.

No computer? Donations can also be made by check made out to St. Matthew with Stop Hunger Now in the memo line. To register to pack, sign up at the SAW event or call Doug West at 630-2131.

See you at SHN@SAW. All donations taken that evening will move us closer to our 100,000 meal goal.
