The Rev. Dr. Daniel M. Yeiser began his ministry as Senior Pastor at St. Matthew on August 16, 2004. A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he received his B.A. from Grove City College, M.Div. from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg, and Ph.D. in systematic theology from Duquesne University. As a parish pastor, he has served the Aurora – Red House Lutheran Parish (1983-1986), St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Saxonburg (1986-1999), and St. John’s Lutheran Church in Erie (1999-2004). In addition to his parish responsibilities, Pastor Yeiser has been an adjunct professor and conference dean, and has served on a number of boards and synodical committees. Currently he is serving on the Board of Directors at the Gettysburg Seminary where he chairs the Scholarship and Leadership Formation Committee. Pastor Yeiser also serves on the Lutheran Social Services Board. He and his wife, Christy, have been married for over twenty-eight years and have three grown children: Gretchen McCullough and her husband Mac (John), Gwyneth, and Thaddeus. Pastor and Christy take great delight in their first grandchild, Charlotte McCullough, who resides with her parents in Mechanicsburg, PA.
The Rev. Kathryn A. Schroeder

The Rev. Kate Schroeder, began her ministry as a Pastor at St. Matthew in 2012, and today finds this place to be her home. As the youngest of six children, Pastor Kate was born, baptized and raised in the Lutheran Church. Before graduating seminary, Pastor Kate spent 18 years as a Registered Nurse in her home town of Williamsburg, Virginia, practicing in the areas of oncology, nurse management, and intensive care. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Delaware and then her Master of Divinity at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg. As a parish pastor, prior to coming to St. Matthew, she served the members of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Edinburg, Virginia. Her grown children, Jason and Haley, are an incredible source of joy in her life.
Ordained in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) in 2009, she is delighted at the opportunity to serve the fine people of St. Matthew! She has found the people here welcoming, loving and eager to serve their neighbor. Together, we continue to learn what it means to love God, how to best empower others to recognize their strength and value in and through Christ, and continue to learn to be who God made us to be. The Rev. Dr. E. Edward Keyser
Congregational Visitation Pastor
Pastor Keyser recently retired after serving as co-pastor at St. James Church in Gettysburg for 35 years. He is a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College (1960) and of the Lutheran Seminary in Philadelphia (1963). He was pastor of the Berwick Lutheran Parish, Berwick, PA, 1963-1967. He was co-pastor of St. James Church, Gettysburg, 1967-2002. He is married and the father of four children and nine grandchildren. His service has included work with Stephen Ministry and the York-Adams Drug and Alcohol Board as well as in other community activities. He is a resident of Gettysburg.
The Rev. Faye C. Snyder

A native of Hanover, Pastor Faye is pleased to again minister in her home congregation, St. Matthew. This is the church home where her 4 children grew up. These walls have witnessed, both joyful and sad, the major transitions of their lives.
Having graduated from York College of PA with a degree in Behavioral Sciences, and the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg with a Masters of Divinity, Pastor Faye is a second-career pastor. She filled many roles in her former life. She was the Executive Director of Hanover Area Council of Churches, the founding Director, as well as a teacher, of Discovery Place Preschool, and a founding board member of Turning Point Interfaith Housing. She is a veteran in the Northern Canadian Ministry, in addition to being a founding board member of On Eagle’s Wings, a ministry in the Northwest Territory.
Pastor Faye served in Mt. Joy-St. Paul’s Parish in Gettysburg, PA, and Taneytown, MD, and as interim pastor at First Lutheran Church in New Oxford, PA, from 2313-2014. She was active in ELCA Rural ministry, and is trained as a mission developer/church renewer/redeveloper. She has been a Stephen Ministry leader since 1995.
Presently Pastor Faye is on the Global Missions Committee of the Lower Susquehanna Synod, the Finland/Estonia Task Force of the DE/MD Synod, and is a board member of SpiriTrust Homecare and Hospice.
The proud mother of 4 grown children, Shane, Laurel, Cara, and Ryan, Pastor Faye is also delighted to be grandmother to 6, (soon to be 8), beautiful grandchildren!
Jan Davis, A.i.M, Minister of Christian Education

Jan Davis has served as Minister of Christian Education and Youth at St. Matthew for twelve years. She is a 1988 graduate of the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg with a Master of Arts in Religion. Certified as an Associate in Ministry in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America for 18 years, Jan previously served congregations in Pottstown and Ardmore, PA, and Hagerstown, MD. Currently, Jan oversees all educational programs for children, youth, and adults. This includes Sunday School, Confirmation Classes, Vacation Bible School, Bible Studies, and SAW activities. She also oversees all youth programs, including our Youth Group and junior and senior high retreats, both for our congregation and on a synod and nation-wide level. She is also Assisting Minister for worship services.
