Children's Sunday School
Live The
Good News
All ages from age two
through grade six use the ELCA's Witness curriculum.
Witness teaches kids to learn from the Bible to live the Good
News. Witness
focuses on the themes of Word, faith, and service, with the goal of
encouraging learners to KNOW the Word, GROW in faith, and SHOW
service. Our salvation story is a story of God's gifts of
Word, faith, and service.
Crib and Toddler
Child care for pre-two's during Sunday School is provided for
parents who teach or participate in classes. Located in the
lower level of the main church building.
Age Two
Our youngest class enjoys the warmth of God's love through
activities designed for this special age group. Located
in the Nursery 2 room in the Education building.
Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten
Age-appropriate colorful leaflets and fun activities tell and
reflect the stories of
God's love for us. Located in Nursery 3, 4 and Kindergarten in
the Education
building.
Grades One Through Six
Children in these grades meet in individual classes in our Education
building. Grade 3 children receive their own copy of the Bible
as their reading skills are developing. Children in grade 5
study the Lord's Supper in preparation for receiving their First
Communion. All children may participate in lively Bible study
and faithful relationships with other children and adults to help
them KNOW, GROW, and SHOW!
Grades Seven and Eight
Located in the "Upper Room" of the Youth Building, youth in 7th
and 8th grade
receive catechetical instruction each Sunday morning. Using
the "Here We Stand" curriculum, confirmation classes lay the
groundwork for the continuing faith development of our youth as
disciples of Jesus. These classes include an overview of the
Bible and Martin Luther's "Small Catechism" in preparation for
confirmation on Pentecost of the 8th grade year.
Grades Nine to Twelve:
Youth continue their Christian Education through Bible study,
discussion and exciting activities from the FaithWeaver Senior High
curriculum. Located in the Youth Room on the third floor of
the Youth Building.
