Celebrating God's Love, Serving in Jesus' Name

Sunday Morning Adult Learning Opportunities

BUILD UP IN THE BODY OF CHRIST IN ONE OF OUR ADULT CLASSES!  St. Matthew has five adult classes which meet on Sunday mornings from 9:00-10:00 am.  Each has a different style and topic, so you may find one that best suits your interests.  Visit each of our classes and stay with one or move around throughout the year as you desire.

FAITH JOURNEYS:  Paul's letter to the Romans is central to our Lutheran faith.  Discover more about this book with lively discussion.  Carolyn Stambaugh would be happy to answer your questions at 637-5218.  The class meets in room 303.

FELLOWSHIP:  Meeting in room 203, this class uses the Augsburg Bible Study to center their Bible study each week.  If you enjoy singing favorite hymns, this class is for you!

GENERATIONSAs the name suggests, this class is made up of adults from different ages who have a wide range of experiences and ideas to share on many topics from parenting to Bible study to living in the world as a Christian.  They meet in the education building's lounge.  Mickey Fiery (632-2128), Beth Koontz (624-3907), and Dee Books (646-9664) are among those who will welcome you to the class.

IN-DEPTH CLASSCurrently working through the book of Genesis, this class examines the biblical texts in detail.  Come to offer your ideas and learn about this fascinating book.  Contact the class's facilitator Joel Ruths at 633-1755 or visit the class in room 302.

SEASONS OF THE SPIRIT CLASSMeeting in the parlor, this class uses "Daily Discipleship", a curriculum based on the lectionary (the lessons read in worship each week).  Lena Mae Dulling leads the class and may be reached at 630-2180.

St. Paul writes in 1 Corinthians:  The body does not consist of one member but many.  If the foot would say, Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body, that would not make it any less a part of the body.....Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.

Come be a part of the body of Christ at St. Matthew!
